Good morning, I am honored to stand here today as the Salutatorian of the Central Christian Class of 2025.
To begin, I want to express my deepest gratitude to those who have pushed me to be my best for this moment, to my family who has always been there for me despite our struggles, to my friends, for making my high school experience memorable and genuine. Last but not least, I would like to thank every person here at Central Christian who has poured into my life. Thank you all for your guidance, your prayers, your patience, and your love. I will be eternally grateful for the time you have invested in me.
Seniors, looking back over the last 4 years, we've come a long way, from starting our journey as wide-eyed freshmen, to now, where we are a senior class standing on the edge of our new beginning. Along this journey, there were moments we drove each other mad, yet those aren't the days I will remember. I will remember the many moments of laughter, growth, and the friendships we built. I stand here today genuinely grateful that God placed each one of you in my life. You have been a true blessing, helping me grow as a student, as a person, and most importantly as a follower of Christ.
To the Class of 2025, as we look ahead to college, our careers, and new adventures, I challenge you to remember that we were made for more than just this world. There will come times when life is hard-when your faith is tested, when your purpose feels unclear. In those moments, remember the greater mission we've been given.
In Matthew 28, as Jesus ascended to heaven, he gave us His Great Commission:
"Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always; to the very end of the age."
This is our mission. When all else fails, when our plans don't go as expected, this remains: to love others, to proclaim the gospel, and to live a life that points back to Jesus Christ. Let that be the legacy we carry forward, not our success in life, but the difference we make in this world for Christ.
Congratulations, Class of 2025. Let's go out into the world with courage and conviction, having Christ at the center of all we do.
