Athletics
Athletics at Central Christian School are an important extension of our commitment to educating the whole student. Through competitive sports, students are challenged to develop physical skills, teamwork, discipline, and Christ-like character while learning to pursue excellence with integrity.
Our athletic program is built on excellent coaching, strong fundamentals, and intentional character formation. Coaches invest in students not only as athletes, but as individuals, teaching sportsmanship, perseverance, and leadership rooted in a biblical worldview. CCS athletes have earned all-league and all-state recognition and have pursued collegiate athletic opportunities, reflecting both skill development and dedication.

Middle School Athletics
Middle school athletics provide students with a strong foundation in teamwork, skill development, and healthy competition. Students may participate in girls’ volleyball in the fall and boys’ and girls’ basketball in the winter, gaining experience in organized sports while learning the value of commitment, effort, and encouragement.
High School Athletics
High school athletics offer students opportunities to compete at a higher level while building lasting relationships and school pride.
- Fall: Co-ed soccer competes in a competitive OSAA 1A–3A league, playing on our new turf field. Girls’ volleyball competes in the OSAA 1A Mountain Valley League and has experienced strong success, including state playoff appearances in recent seasons.
- Winter: Boys’ and girls’ basketball teams compete in the OSAA 1A Mountain Valley League, traveling across the state for games. The shared experiences of travel and competition often become some of the most meaningful memories for our students.
- Spring: CCS offers boys’ volleyball and girls’ flag football. Boys’ volleyball, a newly sanctioned OSAA sport, has seen early success with state championship appearances. Flag football is an emerging sport and continues to grow as students practice and compete on our new turf field.
Competition with Purpose
Across all seasons, athletics at CCS are about more than wins and losses. Students learn to represent their school and faith with humility, resilience, and respect for others. For students who wish to compete in sports not offered at CCS, participation at their in-district high school is encouraged, allowing students to pursue athletic interests while remaining part of the CCS community.
Athletics at Central Christian School cultivate strong competitors, supportive teammates, and leaders who strive to honor God in every arena.
