Middle School
Middle School at Central Christian School: Growing in Truth, Wisdom, and Purpose
Watching your pre-teen take the leap into middle school can feel both exciting and nerve-wracking. These are years of fast change—more independence, deeper questions, and growing curiosity about who they’re becoming. At Central Christian School, you’ll see something different unfold: an education built on truth, community, and God’s Word—guiding them to become confident thinkers, compassionate leaders, and grounded followers of Jesus
Academics Rooted in Faith and Excellence
In public school, academics stand alone. At CCS, every subject points to a larger story—God’s story. From Bible and history to language arts, math, and science, your child is encouraged to look through the lens of Scripture in every discipline.
The shift from self-contained classrooms to subject-specific teachers means expert instruction—for example, a passionate science teacher who not only explains how things work but how creation reflects our Creator.
Each year builds carefully toward high school readiness—developing not just knowledge, but study habits, self-discipline, and a love for learning that endures.
Electives That Help Your Child Bloom
Middle school should feel like exploration, not just schedules. CCS offers electives in fine and performing arts, literature, technology, leadership, and athletics—opportunities to discover passions in a safe, affirming environment.
Whether they find joy in painting, singing, theatre, team sports, or leading a group project, electives become pathways to uncovering the gifts God has woven into their heart.
Starting Each Year with Connection and Purpose
One of the most difference-making experiences is the Fall Elevate, where your child bonds with classmates through team-building and begins the year anchored around a spiritual theme.
Rather than wandering into a classroom, they enter into a community—supported by caring adults who are committed to their spiritual and relational growth.
“Today we went to the St. Vincent de Paul food bank, during Bible class. We went there because we had been talking about the Israelites in exile, and how we can help people in exile today. As a class, we decided to help a food bank. You should know that this food bank also gives out clothes, as well as food. It also helps pay for bills and gas. When we arrived I was surprised it looked like a mini supermarket. They had asked for us to donate refried beans. Our class donated 90 pounds of beans. I would love to help out at this food bank again.” Raegan - 7th grade
Growing as Disciple-Minded Learners
Academic rigor means far more than test scores here—it’s about nurturing hearts that study, question, and apply Biblical truth. CCS teaches inductive Bible study, models godly faith, and encourages your child to move from doing what’s expected to living out convictions shaped by Jesus himself.
Serving with Intention, Leading with Grace
Faith only matters when it matters—for others. Through the Teaching for Transformation (TfT) model, your child will put their faith into action—serving needs in the community and learning leadership through compassion, advocacy, and purpose.
These are not one-off events; they’re ongoing opportunities for your child to live out the gospel and discover what it means to lead with love.
Why This Matters to You (and To Them)
As a parent, you want your child to grow in strength—not just academically, but emotionally, spiritually, and relationally. You want them to understand who they are in Christ and to know they’re built for more than just success. At CCS, that’s exactly what happens:
- Faith and learning aren’t separate. They’re intertwined—pointing your child toward truth and purpose from every angle.
- They’re known and nurtured. From smaller class sizes to caring teachers and intentional community, they’re seen, prayed for, and equipped.
- They’re given room to grow personally and spiritually. Whether wrestling with Scripture, discovering a talent, or serving the community, they are becoming who God made them to be.
At Central Christian, your middle schooler isn’t just passing time—they’re discovering who they’re meant to become.
Take the next step in their journey.
