April Wenger

2nd grade

Mrs. Wenger has been married to her high school sweetheart for 17 years and has twin boys entering 9th grade this year. Originally from Southern California, she spent 15 years in Hawaii before settling in Central Oregon with her family. They are huge football fans (Go Ducks!) and share their home with four dogs—Rubble, Ruby, Rambo, and Rosie.

She earned her B.A. in Educational Studies from the University of La Verne and a Master of Arts in Teaching from George Fox University, is currently working toward endorsements in Reading and Special Education and is teaching 2nd grade this year.

Mrs. Wenger says, “I love literature, art, and history, and I’m passionate about weaving the Bible into learning. Our students’ excitement and unique personalities make teaching such a joy!”

Fun fact: Before becoming a teacher, Mrs. Wenger worked in the television and movie industry for 20 years as a production coordinator!
